5. Payment & subscription terms
- How is billing taken?
- Subscriptions are billed automatically each period by card, ACH, SEPA or wire. Hardware and node licences can also be settled in compliant USDC stablecoin. All checkout is handled by our payment provider — we never store card details.
- When does access start?
- Immediately on successful payment. Your workspace unlocks the moment the payment confirmation reaches us — usually within a few seconds.
- What happens if I upgrade?
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated against the unused portion of your current billing period, so you only pay the difference.
- What happens if I downgrade?
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep the higher tier — and everything it unlocks — until that date. No mid-cycle credits are issued.
- What happens if I cancel?
- You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is cut off early, and you can resume at any time from your billing page.
- What if a payment fails?
- You keep full access while the charge is retried and you'll see a warning banner in the portal plus an email with the next retry date. Access is only withdrawn after the final retry fails.
- Are prices inclusive of tax?
- Prices are shown excluding tax. Applicable VAT, GST or sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout based on your billing location.
- Seats
- Counsel and Chambers are priced per lawyer seat. Add or remove seats at any time; changes follow the upgrade/downgrade rules above.
